The Vodafone Smart Accessibility Awards released their winning mobile apps
Mobile technology can - and should - benefit all citizens in our society, whatever their age or ability, and help them lead more independent, ?inclusive?, active, and healthier lives.
The Vodafone Foundation has been organising each year since 2011 Smart accessibility awards related to accessible applications on smartphones.
The Smart Accessibility Awards focussed on promoting the development of smartphone applications to help disabled and ageing people overcome accessibility barriers. This year was offered a shared prize fund of ?200,000 towards the development of smartphone applications in 4 categories : Accessibility, Health, Education and Mobilising Public services.
The jury was composed among others by representatives from older persons' and persons with disabilities organisations.
